4. Patient information
Pharmacist Support Network provides clinical pharmacy services to GP practices, Primary Care Networks and NHS organisations.
In most cases, patient information remains under the control of the commissioning GP practice, PCN or NHS organisation. PSN clinicians access patient records directly within authorised NHS clinical systems, including EMIS and SystmOne, solely for the purpose of delivering contracted clinical services.
- The commissioning GP practice, PCN or NHS organisation is generally the Data Controller.
- Pharmacist Support Network generally acts as a Data Processor and processes information under the instructions of the relevant Data Controller.
