Remote flexibility
Deliver clinical work remotely without losing the structure, communication and connection of being part of a wider team.
Join the PSN Team
Join a network of experienced primary care pharmacists delivering meaningful clinical work with the flexibility of remote working and the support of a dedicated clinical and operational team.
Working with PSN
We want pharmacists to feel part of a properly supported clinical service, not simply placed into a practice and left to manage alone.
Deliver clinical work remotely without losing the structure, communication and connection of being part of a wider team.
Access experienced clinical leadership for support, discussion, escalation and maintaining safe standards across delivery.
Opportunities may include regular weekly delivery, Enhanced Access clinics, targeted projects and additional clinical capacity.
Work alongside other experienced primary care pharmacists who understand the clinical and operational realities of General Practice.
Build experience across patient-facing care, prescribing, long-term conditions, quality improvement and medicines optimisation.
Clear expectations, agreed workflows and operational oversight help you focus on delivering safe, high-quality clinical care.
Opportunities within PSN
The type and availability of work depends on client requirements, your experience and the time you are able to commit.
Work with a practice or PCN on an ongoing basis, building knowledge of the team, patient population, systems and clinical priorities.
Support evening and weekend pharmacist clinics through clearly defined appointment structures and escalation pathways.
Join targeted programmes with a defined patient cohort, clinical protocol, timescale and measurable outcome.
As PSN grows, opportunities may arise for experienced pharmacists to support clinical leadership, mentoring and service development.
The PSN standard
Our clients trust PSN to provide pharmacists who can integrate quickly, work safely and deliver consistently. We therefore select pharmacists carefully and look beyond qualifications alone.
Most PSN clinical roles require a minimum of three years’ experience working within General Practice.
Independent Prescribing status is required for prescribing roles and many of the services delivered by PSN.
Pharmacists must meet the relevant CPPE Primary Care pathway and role requirements applicable to the service.
You must be confident making appropriate clinical decisions, documenting clearly and escalating when required.
Practices need pharmacists who are dependable, responsive and able to work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
Remote, not isolated
Remote working should not mean working without support. PSN provides a clinical and operational structure around each service so that pharmacists know what is expected, where to escalate and who to contact when support is needed.
You are given the agreed work, processes and escalation routes needed to deliver the service safely.
Our clinical leadership team is available for professional discussion, complex cases and appropriate escalation.
You become part of a network of experienced professionals rather than working as an isolated individual.
Different services and projects can help broaden your primary care experience as the PSN network grows.

Independent Prescribing status is required for prescribing services and many PSN opportunities. Any role-specific requirements will be confirmed during the application process.
Most PSN clinical pharmacist roles require at least three years’ experience working within General Practice. Some opportunities may require additional experience or specific clinical skills.
Many pharmacists combine PSN work with other professional commitments. Suitability depends on your availability, the commitment required and any relevant contractual restrictions.
Opportunities are matched according to client demand, your clinical experience, system knowledge and the hours you are able to commit. Hours are discussed before work is agreed.
